Fungi in UKBAP

 

Non-lichenised fungi

 
Full Species Action Plans exist for 12 non-lichenised fungi, with a further 15 included in a Grouped Species Action Plan.
 
The implementation of Species Action Plans is overseen by a variety of Lead Partners, and these are listed in the Plans.  For non-lichenised fungi, in addition to the Lead Partners, the implementation of all of the Plans is overseen by the Fungus Conservation Forum BAP Technical Committee, chaired by Plantlife.  This Committee is also responsible for input of fungal advice to the Priority Species Review.
 

Lichenised fungi

 
Full Species Action Plans exist for 33 lichenised fungi, with a further 4 possessing Species Statements.
 
The implementation of Species Action Plans is overseen by a variety of Lead Partners, and these are listed in the Plans.  For lichenised fungi, in addition to the Lead Partners, the implementation of all of the Plans is overseen by the British Lichen Society BAP Technical Committee, chaired by JNCC.  This Committee is also responsible for input of lichenological advice to the Priority Species Review.  It is supported by the British Lichen Society Conservation Committee.
 
The BAP Technical Committee produces regular species updates on implementation.
