Hierarchy structure diagrams

Hierarchy structure diagrams have been created for each of the broad habitats, providing an overview of all the lower level units within each broad habitat type. These diagrams for littoral rock, littoral sediment, infralittoral rock, circalittoral rock and sublittoral sediment are available to view on these webpages, or they can be downloaded as Excel™ spreadsheets from the main download page. The tables are colour-coded in a standard colour scheme, with one colour for each hierarchical classificaiton level

The full hierarchical structure of the classification system, from broad habitat level to sub-biotope level, can be viewed as an expandable hierarchy, which links directly through to the descriptions of each individual type. The full hierarchy is also available as a list in an Excel™ spreadsheet, which can be downloaded from the main download page.
