Summary results

This summary provides JNCC’s interpretation of the overall picture of the proportions of birds, butterflies, habitats, mammals and plants increasing, stable and declining. It also provides our interpretation of the most likely reasons for the changes using the broad categories of pressures affecting biodiversity established by the the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment.

Many of the detailed results are also collated as Wildlife Statistics to provide an easy to use resource for further integrated interpretation.
