Throughout most of the UK, breeding seabirds were only slightly more sucessful in 2006 than they were in 2004 and 2005, which were the worse seasons on record.
Summary
UK Seabirds in 2006 is a booklet summarising the
results of the UK Seabird Monitoring Programme (SMP). Led by
JNCC, the programme co-ordinates the monitoring of seabird breeding
numbers and breeding success throughout the UK. The results of
the SMP are published annually by JNCC in full as
Seabird numbers and breeding success in Britain
and Ireland.
