UK Offshore Marine Area

 

The UK's offshore marine area is defined (in the Offshore Marine Conservation (Natural Habitats, & c.) Regulations, 2007) as:

 

(a) any part of the seabed and subsoil situated within the UK's Continental Shelf (the area designated under section 1(7) of the Continental Shelf Act 1964); and


(b) any part of the waters within British fishery limits (except the internal waters of, and the territorial sea adjacent to, the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man).
