The butterflies and moths of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight: additions and corrections 1992

Abstract

Since the publication of The butterflies and moths of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight in 1974, much work has been done in the three vice-counties, particularly with the microlepidoptera. This Supplement includes a plethora of new records.

The same format is used in this Supplement as was employed in 1974, but nomenclature has been brought up-to-date, and is based on Bradley and Fletcher (1979). The sequence of species has also been revised in some families, notably the Tortricidae. To facilitate cross-reference with the original list, all new names have been synonymised with those used in 1974, and the 1974 page references are given. In addition, the species are now numbered.

Please note that this resource has been produced from a scan of an original document. You may therefore experience fluctuations in quality.
